Holmes With A View Suite 4

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are clean. The unit does need a little TLC in bathroom ceiling and water damage that shows l. Overall very nice place and we will definitely return.

We are repeat customers at Holmes with A View. It never fails us. Very Clean and if you have a problem someone responses quickly. Hopefully we will return later this summer or fall.

This was our 4th time staying!! Everything was wonderful!! The views, rolls and bread, jelly......beds were comfortable and showers were hot!! We needed help getting in....owner helped us immediately! Defianately will be back!!

We had a terrific time all in all. the thoughtful amenities were much appreciated. From the firewood, kindling and fire starter to the bread and jam. Your homes have a beautiful view and are restful and quiet. Our only complaint was with the heating/air and according to your service man can only be remedied by tearing out the ceilings and re-routing the ductwork, (a mistake made by the builder). We hope to visit again in the future in a different unit.

Our stay was nice & relaxing. The only issues was a poker for the fire pit would be nice. Also was a bad sewerage gas smell when sitting at the fire pit.

We've been going to Holmes with a View for a decade or so and it's been a prime destination for us to take a few days of rest. In the past year there's been a change in ownership and things are different. The new owners seem to be still getting up to speed and some things didn't go smoothly. We were in unit 4 (middle, lower level) and when we arrived we saw a door handle with a black pad beneath it. We tried many ways to make it open, so asked the upstairs guest to come help us. He cheerfully did so and we learned we had to touch the pad in a certain way to make the keypad appear. We also needed instruction on how to lock it upon leaving. The HVAC was set to cool and that was working very well. When we switched to heat, not much happened. We went to the Good Will and purchased sweaters to keep warm. We had one very chilly night and the next day the owner came to try to get things going, saying that no technician was available. He changed a few things and it improved. And we left the fireplace going all night and were toasty. This entailed several interactions with the owner, a distraction from our intention in coming there to rest. Another problem with both bathrooms was NO grab bars and bottom were dangerously slippery. There was no remote for the DVD player, making it hard, though not impossible, to watch a DVD. The Keurig supply of cups was almost entirely decaf. There was no outlet near my side of the bed; the owner brought a extension cord that turned out to not be working, so I moved the bed aside and rearranged things to repurpose the extension cord that was there. Little things, mostly, but considerably more hassle than we have usually experienced. Also, we’ve been used to specials. In the past if you stayed over Mon-Tues, you got a coupon for eating at Boyd-Wurthmans. If 3 night stay, another special. We were eligible for a senior discount but it didn't happen until we contacted the owner afterwards. We hope very much that the new owners get things worked out in every way so that it won’t be so unpredictable. The new owners were very kind. They are the parents of a baby and a toddler so life must be very busy for them. PS: They still had the yummy cinnamon rolls and small loaf of bread on arrival.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing

Wonderfull view and minutes from a lot the area has to offer. Highly recommend.

Our stay was perfect! The place is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the horses and cows and the beautiful scenery. Close enough to Berlin and Sugarcreek but away from the hustle and bustle. We will be coming back for sure!

it was a nice spot! the horses right outside was beautiful. after a mess up with a different booking we needed a last minute spot the host responded almost immediately.

I have lodged at Holmes With a View at least four times since 2017! This year my sister, joined me, we both needed a quiet and reflective space for various reasons. The beauty, peace, and quietness of the property and it's surroundings, has always provided a "Restorative" element each time l have visited! My sister and I thank you, for the wonderful "Oasis" that you are providing for so Many! Blessings

I’ve been going there for 7 years now. And it has been amazing every time. Just so relaxing and peaceful there. Enjoy sitting outside and listening to the horses and watching them. See you end of November for my birthday. Thank you , John

We loved the suite and the location of the suite! We had trouble with the keypad lock and the thermostat. Also, there was no hot water in the shower in one of the bedrooms. There was no soap for the showers. We would stay here again.

I have stayed at Holmes with A View on several occasions, and been very satisfied. I scheduled a stay this year, planning to use a gift card I had received from having to cancel on a previous occasion. I still have the gift card, because there is no way to use it. I tried contacting Shaun on several occasions, and NEVER got a reply. Our lock needed batteries and would only work occasionally, so we were unable to leave after we checked in because we were afraid of getting locked out. There was no warm water in one bedroom, and I was in the shower before I realized it. We had really looked forward to staying here this year, and thought the stay was mostly paid for, but was very disappointed in the stay. I will probably never stay here again! The neighbors in the other cabin said they too had tried to contact the owner to address some problems in their cabin, but although they had emailed him several times...the only way to contact him....they got no response. Other than those problems, the cabin was very clean and in a very good area with an awesome view!! Very quiet and private!

My brother and wife drove up from North Carolina to visit and we decided to stay at Holmes with a view. We have been there many times years ago but they have not. We loved it. So peaceful and calm. We will be back😃

We had a wonderful time in Holmes County and Holmes with a view was perfect for us. We stayed in #4. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The views outside our door are beautiful. As always Holmes With a View met and exceeded our expectations.

We have been staying in Suite #4 for many years and have always loved the homeliness feeling of it. We love the fact that we had a complete little kitchen so we were able to prepare our own breakfast on Sunday morning and not have to find something that was open. We also like the firepit area that was installed in recent years.
